I love this Shannon. I think this priniple is so powerful, and I am proof that it works. You are sharing probably the most important kind of marketing we can do, even in this virtual world!

I have been both a business coach and an Interior Decorator for over 20 years (I no longer do interiors or design for a living). I built my local design business almost completely on face to face activities, like giving local seminars, trunk shows, real estate programs, and all kinds of out-of-the-box ways of connecting with real human beings in real time.

The same is thru in building my business coaching. I have done speeches, classes, seminars, and panel discussions in many cities for many different organizations all over the USA and also outside of the USA.

There is NOTHING like meeting people face to face. NOTHING! We love to connect and know that others care about us and want us in their tribe. POWERFUL.

Thanks for sharing these strategies and tactics!

Hugs,

Margo

These are great ideas, Shannon. I always meet either someone to collaborate with or a prospective client at live events or seminars. It's almost impossible NOT to when you get a group of like-minded people together.

Great article, Shannon. I experience that same feeling when on the receiving end of an unsolicited email asking something of me from someone I've never met without any acknowledgment of that. Yours is great advice for when I may be the one asking someone else for something!

I love this post Shannon... it's the same thing with joint venture invitations. You've got to personalize it. You can't assume... and everything else you said in your post LOL. Sponsorships is something I want to infuse more into my business. I'll be paying close attention to your advice on this (more please!). xo

A very inspiring message Shannon!

I love the question "what do you do after the mistakes".

Surely, if you do not learn from the mistakes then it was not worth it. What matters is learning from our mistakes and translating them into positive actions.

Thanks for sharing this.

You are so right! I make mistakes all the time. Some of them stop me in my tracks but I know that it is all apart of life and business lessons. Thanks for the video. See you at Business Charm School on June 8th!

Nadine, great analogy.

If you want to rise to the top, you need to make an effort. It's just that simple, but we often take the more simple route for ourselves... And that's when we get into trouble.

Awesome Margo. The idea is to make the whole thing personal for each sponsor so they will come back for more.

I have other tips on sponsorship on this blog, so do check it out.

I also have a free e-course at http://www.sponsorshipmadesimple.com/ which may help you too.
